What is ConvertPro?
ConvertPro is a local-only document converter that turns Excel, CSV, Word, PDF, images, JSON and text files into clean Markdown β and many other format pairs. It runs entirely on your machine: the intended design keeps file processing in your browser; this development copy still requires privacy verification.
How it works
Conversion runs in this browser. Workbook structure and formatting can change; review the output. The browser converter does not reproduce all features of the original local Python engine.
How to use it
- Step 1 β Choose your file. Drag & drop a file (or click to browse). For Excel files you can pick which sheets to convert.
- Step 2 β Review & verify. After converting, a result panel shows a live preview, per-sheet stats, and any warnings about sheets that came out empty.
- Step 3 β Download. Grab the
.md file, or hit βConvert another fileβ.
For other conversions (Excel → CSV, PDF → Images, Merge PDFs, β¦) click any card in the βOther Convertersβ grid. Each tool has its own options (page size, ranges, quality, etc.).
Keyboard shortcuts
- Ctrl+K (or Ctrl+P) β command palette: search and run any converter or action.
- Esc β close the open modal, panel, or the command palette.
- Tab / Enter / β β β navigate buttons, the tool grid, and the palette list.
Tip: enable β‘ Auto-download under the Convert button to skip the review step and download immediately.

Privacy
The converter is designed to process files in the browser. Conversion history, including some output files, is stored in this browser until cleared. The app loads its conversion libraries from this site.
